John is a fetal medicine consultant obstetrician based within the Southeastern Trust. He has been Chair of NIOUF since its inception in 2010.

Clare Hughes (Secretary)

Clare Hughes (Secretary)

Clare is a Midwifery teaching fellow at Queen’s University Belfast. She has been a midwife since 1991 and has been working in QUB since 2007. She currently is responsible for the ultrasound scanning course for midwives which currently runs at both diploma and degree level. She has been secretary of NIOUF since its inception in 2010.

Fiona Jackson (Treasurer)

Fiona Jackson (Treasurer)

Fiona works as a clinical specialist in ultrasound at the Ulster Hospital, Dundonald.  Fiona also lectures on fetal scanning at the University of Ulster.  She has been treasurer for NIOUF since its inception in 2010.

Pat McDonald

Pat McDonald

Pat is the clinical lead in ultrasound in Daisy Hill hospital, SHSCT. She has worked in Daisy Hill for 32 years and has been a sonographer for 27 years. She also set up the 20 week anomaly scanning programme in Daisy Hill in 2000. Pat has been a committee member of NIOUF since its inception in 2010.

Jackie McGeagh

Jackie McGeagh

Jackie is the regional NI antenatal screening coordinator and is based in the Public Health Agency.  Jackie has been a midwife for 31 years.  Jackie was instrumental in establishing NIOUF and has been on the committee since its inception in 2010.

Hilary Lyttle

Hilary Lyttle

Hilary is a clinical specialist in ultrasound in Antrim Area Hospital.  She has been a committee member since NIOUF’s inception in 2010.  Hilary is NIOUF’s press officer.

Dr Aly Hunter

Dr Aly Hunter

Aly graduated from Queens University Belfast before training in general O&G in NI and England. Research in Pre-eclampsia led to opportunities to continue research and sub specialise in maternal and fetal medicine in England.  Appointed consultant in obstetrics and maternal fetal medicine in Royal Maternity Hospital Belfast in 2005.  Aly joined the NIOUF committee in 2011.

Teresa is a clinical specialist in ultrasound in Altnagelvin Hospital, WHSCT. Teresa has been a committee member of NIOUF since inception in 2010.

Jackie is a consultant obstetrician in Altnagelvin Hospital, WHSCT.  Jackie has been a member of the NIOUF committee since its inception in 2010.

Rosie McIntyre

Rosie McIntyre

Rosie is a clinical specialist in ultrasound in Causeway Hospital, NHSCT.  Rosie joined the committee in 2011.
