…to the Northern Ireland Obstetric Ultrasound Forum Website (NIOUF).

The Northern Ireland Obstetric Ultrasound Forum, formed in Jan 2010, is comprised of a range of professional staff including ultrasonographers, radiographers, obstetricians, midwives and nurses predominantly within the statutory and education sectors who are involved in the delivery and development of obstetric ultrasound services.

The forum will meet at least once a year, and its aims are:

  • To improve the client/patient experience within obstetric ultrasound services
  • To provide a support and communication network for all obstetric ultrasound services throughout Northern Ireland
  • To provide a regional resource through the sharing of knowledge, expertise, service development, and innovation that will promote, influence and enhance best practice and consistency in the fields of obstetric ultrasound
  • To consider, discuss and influence current and future strategic policy that is relevant to the fields of obstetric ultrasound provision
  • To develop and maintain links with Obstetric Ultrasound networks throughout Ireland and the UK

The NIOUF website allows members to access presentations from past events, case studies, minutes of meetings, information about future events and monthly discussion topics chosen by members. There are also useful links to official NHS and voluntary organisation websites as well as a discussion forum.
